Back in Black

Yes, back in black and let loose from the noose and all that AC/DC I'm-a-walking-talking-hell thing. I finished my exams last Monday, went out for a movie with a friend, 300. I liked the movie but I couldn't help but think: A city of underwears. You see, in Sparta (as the movie tells us) all the men are supposed to wear underwears...Black, golden, you name it, as long as it's underwear, it's legal. Even their lion-hearted king is in underwear. Weird but somehow, 'draws' the 'image' of the time or whatever.

So I feel like talking about music again...It's the only thing I like to talk extensively about. Lately, I've been listening to all these bands and I realized that I'm getting sick of the sound of the electric guitar. I know that sounds weird, but it's just getting too damn repetitive, especially if you try listening to punk songs. They're the same crap, repeated with different voices. The same stupid beat and pretending to make great music. Somehow, all those weirdos just...Sicken me.

The dudes I feel like listening to a lot these days are...Nirvana. It's too bad I wasn't born until 1991...Maybe if I was born sometime in the 70s I would have been able to listen to Nirvana and enjoy them more. Yeah, they're that type of band. Those guys were brilliant, especially Kurt Cobain...They say he had a 'good scream' which I think I must agree with. The man's voice is that anguished, hurt, slurred type of voice that kind of makes you think after each song even though you don't know what exactly you're thinking about. That was Kurt's voice and even though he was a drug addict and he may have committed suicide it is still alright to wish this guy to rest in peace.

Then I have been listening to more of Our Lady Peace. Their 'alternative' sound is very interesting, besides, they're Canadian so they kind of have their own tone and sound other than these stupid bands I was talking about who all sound the same. Our Lady Peace have done great in many songs and it's here that I have to thank my friend Taimur for all the great songs he passed on to me from all those bands...I think without this guy's help I would still be listening to more and more crap. Thanks Taimur and rock on!
Oh yes, anime too. Been watching anime a lot lately...Just one anime though; Death Note. That is one very very very well constructed thriller. I mean, whoever wrote that stuff is a genius, knowing how to extend and extend without the people getting bored is a talent that should never be underestimated. And those anime shows keep on going for like...Ages. Death Note has been going only for 24 episodes up to now and it's already one of the things I don't like missing.
Alright, so now I'm off for another couple of days then maybe I'll be back to post more.
You guys take care and may Allah take care of each one of you!
