Jasmine

Lately it's nothing but poetry that I seem to pour myself into. This piece was written yesterday and took about an hour to complete even though there are only a few stanzas.

A jasmine scent escapes to my nose
Its springy essence a healing balm.
Its joyful dance, a rogue romance,
Its song a solemn psalm.

Its fragrance emanating from your skin,
A smell that's plain veneer.
For a passing moment it made me feel,
That there's nothing left to fear.

Hand in hand, we walk along,
Your glowing aura in symphonic play.
Like the blazing sun that mounts the skies,
To begin the day.

The meadows here are long and smooth,
So this is where you've been?
You and the jasmine are the only ones,
Who know just what I mean.
