The Silence Of Our Life

So as I said before, you may find some poetry scattered here and there...
And this is something I had written recently...It's called 'The Silence of Our Life'. It adapts an obvious a/b-a/b rhyme and is one of the few poems that I was personally satisfied with. Tell me what you think if you got the time:

Grasp it all before it's too late,
Hold on to it till your last breath.
Don't sit back and say, 'I accept my fate'
Stand up and fight until your death.
Life is a series of sucessful gestures.
Life is a group of smiles.
Life is emotive music, and colored textures.
Life is the tunnel and God is the light.
And if life was about money and gold,
the rich would have lived, longer than all.
But to me life is about, how much can your shoulders hold
.And how, when you think you're dead, you just live on more.
Life is every image that flickers free,
And every moment of tears and pain.
Life is all a word, oh won't you agree,
That all humans are samples, repeated again?
We're a complex mixture of flesh and bone,
And emotions spread like stars on a sky.
We're showered by blockers of the soul,
On one day we laugh, on another we cry.
All the hearts on this mortal land,
We have went through all of its strife.
We are played with by fate's perfect hand,
Until death illuminates the silence of our life.

I wouldn't lie to you, sometimes I sit with myself and go, 'Poetry is just corny. Go for something cooler and act your age' but somehow those thoughts are washed away and I find me sitting alone with myself again writing a new stanza to start a new poem. It's nothing that you can control and when the bug really bites you want to write more and more and more...

I leave you in God's protection...

Yeah I felt that away when I was a teenager but I look at my years and find how it helped to grow into the person who I am now
